Learning Beyond the Classroom,
Hope Beyond Today

The Salvation Army Afterschool Programme

Our Afterschool Programme provides children from low-income families with a safe, supportive environment after school hours. More than just homework help, it nurtures every child’s academic, emotional, and social growth.
Through our holistic education programme, we emphasise:
By leveraging our existing network of social workers across Malaysia, with mentorship from our experienced teams in Singapore, we maximise resources and extend quality care to more children and families in need.

How We Help

We combine professional care with warmth and personal attention so our seniors feel truly at home:

Homework Support & Tutoring

Guided learning sessions for primary school students.

Day Care Services

A safe space for children while parents are at work.

Socio-Emotional Development

Activities and mentoring that build confidence and life skills.

Nutritious Meals & Care

Ensuring children receive proper nourishment and holistic support.

Open Access

Registration available throughout the year.

Why It Matters

Many parents in Malaysia work long hours to support their families, leaving children without supervision or access to academic help. Our Afterschool Programme ensures children are not left behind, offering them opportunity, stability, and hope for the future.
[As of June 2025, over 150 children are enrolled across 5 centres.]
