The Salvation Army Afterschool Programme
Our Afterschool Programme provides children from low-income families with a safe, supportive environment after school hours. More than just homework help, it nurtures every child’s academic, emotional, and social growth.
Through our holistic education programme, we emphasise:
- Academic Support – Tutoring and homework guidance to help children succeed at school.
- Socio-Emotional Learning – Building resilience, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.
- Life Skills & Communicatio – Equipping children with practical skills to navigate daily challenges.
By leveraging our existing network of social workers across Malaysia, with mentorship from our experienced teams in Singapore, we maximise resources and extend quality care to more children and families in need.

Why It Matters
Many parents in Malaysia work long hours to support their families, leaving children without supervision or access to academic help. Our Afterschool Programme ensures children are not left behind, offering them opportunity, stability, and hope for the future.
